Crookes’ Community Pups Rally to Support Small Business
SHEFFIELD – May 2021 – Sheffield-based crayon company Bambino overjoyed as local community members brought their dogs to assist in a new promotional campaign.
After reaching out to the people of Crookes over social media, the Bambino team were elated to see so many locals and furry friends eager to support their small business.
The puppies were invited to star as the models in a photoshoot with Bambino’s crayons to create promotional material that stands out against the rest.
The campaign features the dogs of Crookes posing alongside towers of crayons as well as showing off tricks and getting into mischief.
The idea behind the campaign was to create a promotion that would be eye-catching enough to compete with the bigger budgets of rival companies whilst still getting involved and engaging with the local community.
Bambino also wanted to draw attention to the positive effects of both colouring and having a pet dog on mental wellbeing.
Kat Brennan, Bambino CEO and Sheffield resident, was amazed at the number of people willing to support the fledgling business.
The team were so surprised to get such a positive response, even having to decline some of the volunteers due to limited space.
“It’s so fantastic to see our community engage and support us like this.” She said “We really think together we can spread the word about our amazing crayons.“
“We are so thankful to the people and puppies of Crookes for showing up to help with this photoshoot, it really shows how engaging with your community can make a difference.”
The company, which has only been trading for three months, specialises in uniquely formulated clay crayons and colouring books for both adults and children.
Having already been endorsed by ‘queen of colouring’ Joanna Basford OBE, Bambino has a bright future ahead and hopes to continue its involvement with the local community.
